HHK opened 2 new concessions in 2025, they are Malindi and Gwayi Farms.
Description:
HHK Safaris is one of Africa’s largest and longest standing safari operators in Zimbabwe. We offered our first safari in 1989.As one of the earliest safari operators since Zimbabwe’s change, we have exclusive control over some of Zimbabwe’s best Hunting and Fishing concessions. Our concessions offer a range of diverse hunting quotas allowing us to tailor safaris to our clients' individual demands.
We supply the necessary services such as camp accommodation, catering, trackers, skinners, vehicles and a Zimbabwe qualified Professional Hunter. In doing so, we ensure that your trip is a stress free, and enjoyable experience.
HHK is operated by, native born, Graham Hingeston. He knows the areas well having travelled and hunted all over Zimbabwe throughout his life.
HHK, is well known for the quality and challenge of their hunts. Unlike many other countries where the hunts are within fenced in areas which traps the game, Zimbabwe offers “traditional” open range – free range hunting. If your game reaches the edge of the concession, it is not stopped by a fence. It is free to continue going wherever it wants. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to continue your hunt beyond the borders of the concession.
Fortunately, the success rate for the desired game is in the extremely high 90’s percentile.
Currently we have 10 concessions. 9 for hunting of which 1 of these (Mtari) offers both hunting and fishing and Chitembe Lodge which is exclusively for Tiger fish fishing
A big part of HHK’s success and good supply of game is due in a large part to it’s anti-poaching programs. Illegal hunting remains a serious challenge in Zimbabwe. A portion of the revenue generated from trophy hunting is directed towards combating this threat. Our dedicated anti-poaching units are made up of qualified rangers, fully equipped with the necessary gear and vehicles to conduct effective patrols and protect wildlife on the ground.
People often ask about the meat from the game killed on safaris. The majority of this meat is given to the local tribal people that also usually work for HHK at the camps, are trackers, guides, help controlling poachers or some other aspect of helping maintain a healthy environment.
HHK also contributes greatly to the community and also to conservation (see home page for more details).
We look forward to welcoming you to a new and exciting adventure in the true wilds of Africa’s, Zimbabwe.
